Wayne Shipley grew up in Sarnia, where he attended Northern Collegiate. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Western Ontario, and was called to the Bar in 1976. Wayne has practiced with the firm his entire career, and thus has had the opportunity to work with and learn from many fine lawyers.
Over the years, Wayne has enjoyed the experience of dealing with several generations of the many families for whom he has purchased or sold homes, prepared wills or worked on other estate planning measures or dealt with the estates of loved ones. On the corporate / commercial side, Wayne has been able to work with many family businesses from their inception to their development into substantial companies, dealt with many land development projects and has been fortunate to meet and work with a variety of people in national and multinational corporations.
Wayne’s 35 plus years of experience in the commercial field enable him to offer advice and guidance in most commercial transactions encountered in the Sarnia area.
Having practiced with the firm his whole career, Wayne is enjoying the opportunity to work with and offer guidance to the younger lawyers who will be the future of the firm.
Wayne is extremely proud of his three children, Cameron, Meghan, and Brad, their spouses and his grandchildren whom he enjoys spending time with.
Wayne has been active over the years in the community, and was proud to receive in 1997 the Centennial Award from VON Canada for volunteer work.
